Join us from 2:00 PM 9th May for an afternoon and evening packed with entertainment, music, and activities for everyone to enjoy.

Event opens with music and performances
Society showcases begin:
- SongSmiths at 2:30 PM
- Pole Society at 3:00 PM
- PAS at 3:30 PM
Retro fairground stalls open until 5pm
The Buttery serving drinks throughout

Domino’s and street food available (charges apply) until close

This one’s for FINAL YEARS ONLY (ALL COURSES) to kick things off… but don’t worry — once the challenge wraps, we’re opening up the Buttery afterparty to ALL YEARS

Hello everyone! My name is Ambika Chaudhuri, your SU Welfare Officer. Gabriel Springer, your International Officer, and I are really excited to announce an event created to encourage peer support for international students.

The event aims to provide a space for students to connect about similar feelings and experiences they have moving to a new area for school.

There will be a potluck, so we encourage everyone to bring a dish that is nostalgic or sentimental to you, and there will be allergen placards for you to write on when you arrive.

This event is OPEN FOR ALL, and will create a lot of opportunity for cultural exchange as well as connections through shared experiences. We hope to see you all there!

Join us for the RVCSU Union Awards, where we celebrate the incredible contributions of students and societies to the RVC community!

We are bringing together the clubs, societies and course reps to celebrate our collective achievements so far this year and recognise some outstanding individuals.

There will be a drink on arrival and canape/light bite food included in your ticket price as well as a bottle bar that is charged.

When we finish attendees are welcome to continue the celebrations in the Buttery!

Dress code smart casual.

Join us for an inspiring talk by Paul who will share his experiences with Guide Dogs UK, highlighting the profound impact guide dogs have had on his independence, mobility, and daily life.

Paul will be bringing his guide dog York, who was fostered as a puppy by the RVC Students' Union's late General Manager Dave Sherlock-Jones.

This event is open to students and staff interested in accessibility, disability awareness, and the human-animal bond.

AVS Sports Weekend 2026

RVC is proud to host AVS Sports Weekend 2026, the biggest veterinary student sporting event in the UK! Across one unforgettable weekend, vet schools from across the country come together in London for sport, socials, and the kind of chaos only vet students can create

Your ticket gives you access to the full AVS Sports Weekend experience, including all official socials and evening events across the weekend, alongside the opportunity to represent RVC in the sporting fixtures taking place throughout the event.

Hosting Requirement

As the hosting university, RVC students purchasing a ticket are required to host a minimum of two visiting students for the weekend. This typically means offering a place for them to sleep (e.g. floor space, sofa, spare bed) from Friday to Sunday.

To thank students who host additional guests, ticket holders will receive £5 off their ticket price for every extra person hosted after the first two. Example:

Host 3 students → £5 off
Host 4 students → £10 off

*The maximum amount discount being £30 for 8 people*

Please note this rule is in regards to per ticketholder, NOT per household.

If you are unable to host visiting students, please contact the RVC Senior AVS Representative before purchasing a ticket (rvcsenior1@gmail.com)
