It's coach trip number 2! This time we gave you a choice of Cambridge or Oxford and you chose Oxford!

We'll be leaving from Hawkshead Campus at 10am on the day and the coach will leave Oxford and return to Hawkshead via PB train station at 5pm.

Two friendly SU team members are going too, they will be available if you need help during the day!

Who can come:
All students are welcome

Spend the day your way

Visit the Bodleian Library and Christ Church College (noted for Harry Potter filming)

Climb St Mary's Church tower for panoramic views

Grab your friends and come along to Lane7 at Camden after the Postgraduate Research Development Day for a game of bowling. Tickets for two games of bowling are just £13, so come down and earn bragging rights as the best bowler at the RVC.

Halfway Dinner is a celebration of the incredible academic milestone you have all accomplished. Being halfway through a veterinary degree is not easily achieved and should be celebrated with those who have supported and studied hard with you during all these years. We look forward to you joining us for a spectacular night of entertainment, food, and drinks to commemorate all the incredible work and dedication you all have demonstrated over the years!

Dinner, drinks & entertainment are included within the ticket price.

Coach Return Tickets (£10.00)

This ticket is for a return journey back to Hertfordshire after the Halfway Dinner. The coach will depart from the Lost Society venue at 12:15 am. The coach will stop at Potters Bar Station and RVC Hawkshead Campus. PLEASE NOTE: Coach tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the coach is filled, ticket sales will close. Conversely, if not enough tickets are sold to cover the cost of the coach, you will be refunded for the price of your coach ticket, and return transportation will not be provided. We will inform you at the end of March if enough tickets have sold to allow us to provide a return coach after the event.

AVS Sports Weekend 2026

RVC is proud to host AVS Sports Weekend 2026, the biggest veterinary student sporting event in the UK! Across one unforgettable weekend, vet schools from across the country come together in London for sport, socials, and the kind of chaos only vet students can create

Your ticket gives you access to the full AVS Sports Weekend experience, including all official socials and evening events across the weekend, alongside the opportunity to represent RVC in the sporting fixtures taking place throughout the event.

Hosting Requirement

As the hosting university, RVC students purchasing a ticket are required to host a minimum of two visiting students for the weekend. This typically means offering a place for them to sleep (e.g. floor space, sofa, spare bed) from Friday to Sunday.

To thank students who host additional guests, ticket holders will receive £5 off their ticket price for every extra person hosted after the first two. Example:

Host 3 students → £5 off
Host 4 students → £10 off

*The maximum amount discount being £30 for 8 people*

Please note this rule is in regards to per ticketholder, NOT per household.

If you are unable to host visiting students, please contact the RVC Senior AVS Representative before purchasing a ticket (rvcsenior1@gmail.com)

Sign up here to take part in this FREE yoga class taught by RVC alumni Amar Panesar! Amar is trained in leading Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga and is kindly volunteering his time to share his knowledge with current students.

The classes will incorporate teachings from both Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. Ashtanga follows a strict, unchanging sequence of poses, building internal heat and discipline, while Vinyasa is a more creative, varied style, with sequences changing class to class, focusing on fluid transitions between poses for a dynamic experience. Classes will also include pranayama (breathwork) and meditation with some introductions into yoga philosophy along the journey. Looking forward to welcoming all those interested.
