RVC Touch Rugby is one of the fastest growing mixed societies at RVC, and is a growing sport across the country!
We welcome all abilities whether you have played rugby/touch rugby all your life or are new to the game, and our team consists of players from varying degrees and ages at RVC. The majority of our members play Touch as a secondary sport, or just for a fun run-around post lectures or placement, so we make sure to provide sessions that match individuals to their various levels. We believe in inclusion and strive to create a supportive community both on and off the fields, often frequenting the Buttery or Byng post-training for a good yap!
It is also one of the cheapest sports at RVC, so even if you do not attend trainings weekly it will not break your bank and you are always welcome as little or as often as you can come!
Although our vibe is just to have some fun at our weekly trainings, compared to other sports at RVC our competitive season is structured differently. We attend tournaments at varying destinations on a single day at the weekend a few times a year instead of weekly matches for those keen for a competitive side but even for beginners, it is a FABULOUS day out! We encourage all players to come along!
