The RVC Netball Club (RVCNC) is the largest all female club at the college. We have four teams and everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you have prior experience or have never touched a netball before. Our first and second teams play on Wednesday afternoons in BUCS leagues, whilst all teams compete in respective LUSL leagues on Monday evenings. We also offer a very popular social membership to those who would rather party than play. Socials are every Wednesday after matches/training, and are organised by “professional” party planners (with alcoholic tendencies). A new theme will be announced each week after meticulous planning alongside other societies to maximise your Wednesday night adventures.
Throughout our time at RVC we have lots of members join and sadly leave us after graduating. In our first term, we like to celebrate our newest members as they become a part of our family during Welcome Drinks at the Buttery. Second term offers us a chance to welcome back our graduates at Old Girls, where alumni and current students go head to head on the court and in the pub.
The highlight of every RVCNC girls’ life comes around in second term, as we embark on a journey full of tomfoolery and shenanigans. Get ready for RVCNC on Tour as we jet off to a mysterious location hand picked by our award winning team of holiday makers (not one to be missed).
As the year draws to a close, prepare yourselves as friendships turn to rivalries at RVC’s biggest sports day of the year: Camden vs Hawkshead Varsity! This third term event offers the opportunity for all members to participate and represent their campus.
