A vote for Jacques is a vote for... [insert deepest desire here]
My name is Jacques and I’m running for VP Activities and Campaigns (bloke overseeing events, socials, societies and sports of the uni).
“What do you want to achieve as VP Activities and Campaigns?”
University is hard mentally and emotionally and I believe the easiest way through it is with other people. So my biggest push will be to make a strong connection with the university’s Welfare to promote one off events and socials for those who may not be in a club or society. On top of that I want to hugely encourage the formation of new clubs making it as easy as possible for them to start up whilst also increasing SU support to larger clubs who often struggle to cater for the number of people interested.

Having done BioVet here before and now studying VetMed I know the RVC well and have a good idea how everything works from the viewpoint of both degrees (don’t worry nurses, I won’t forget about you). I was also tour sec and social sec for the RVCBC, and, with my military experience, I believe I have the skills and organisation to fulfil this role, and my promises, to a high degree.
