NATASHA ROSLAN

Hi! I’m Natasha, currently in my second year of BVetMed. Wellbeing has always been something I’m extremely passionate about, and hence last year I joined the IVSA Standing Committee of Wellness which allowed me to contribute towards various projects on a global scale and promote awareness on mental health (click here for more info on a few projects we’ve worked on this year! http://www.ivsa-committees.org/scow-projects).

Besides this, I’ve also gained experience as a student ambassador, SEVA and SfGH campus rep, and a representative of Asia on the IVSA Standing Committee of Animal Welfare.

This year, I’d like to work closer with the RVC and build up on the foundation that’s been laid down by the current VP Welfare – this means continuing all the events held in previous years and introducing new ones.

Some of my aims are to promote the peer support system, arrange trips to trampoline/theme parks, initiate a ‘Help me, I’m fine’ campaign to help every student feel comfortable and be able to express themselves without fear of judgment, start a ‘Humans of RVC’ concept to inspire others who are having difficulty maintaining their mental and physical health, and hopefully bring more animals to RVC!
