I am the person who will wonder around the campus in the evenings to turn off the lights in unused rooms. I am also the one feeling frustrated whenever I forget my metallic water bottle, trying everything in my power not to use the disposable plastic cups offered on campus. I am also the person trying to remind people that they should recycle, stop using straws or peanut butter with palm oil etc. We are scientists- we cannot deny, like Donald Trump, that there is environmental crisis. If we don't act urgently by doing small things in our everyday lives, animal & human health will be greatly affected (they already are) and quality of life will keep decreasing. I am certain that with my ideas, motivation, compassion and communication skills not only I will help RVC students/staff to lead more environmentally sustainable lives but I will also help RVC to strive more as buisness too. I will exceed the requirements of this role for my greater purpose following Barry Commoner's steps; "Environmental pollution is an incurable disease; it can only be prevented".
