Helping you through 'ruff' times

I believe that students work their best when they have a supportive environment that offers avenues for relaxation and reassurance when university life gets stressful. Everyone has different methods for coping with stress and, if elected, I would cater for this by running events so that everyone can find something that they would enjoy.

Here, at the RVC, I know that we are a university full of animal lovers, therefore, I would make sure puppy cuddle days still continue and more! I want to arrange more days out for students; to get everyone out of the hustle and bustle of university life for a while. I also aim to organise more lunchtime events, that allows you to clear your mind and relax between lectures. These could include, for example, yoga or free pizza as well as time to chat.

Recently, I became a Mental Health First Aider, by taking part in a course run by MHFA England, and I am currently part of the RVCSU Wellbeing Team. From this I learned a lot about mental health, particularly in the work place and I would love to take the skills I learned forward to help students at the RVC.
