Valerie W Cai

My name is Valerie and I’m a Taiwanese-born Chinese American Canadian running to be your International Officer! Wondering why you should vote for me?

  • I’m a Camden based 2nd year bioscience student: this means I am conveniently located for all international student events.
  • I have experience! I helped to run both International Induction Week and Freshers Week last year, which means I am up to date on the needs of international students, and how to help them transition to RVC life. I am also one of the two course reps for Bsc Biosci/biovet year 2, as well as officer for Café Biologique, and the RVC Asian Society. Being involved in the RVC will allow me to encourage incoming Freshers and current international students to do the same!
  • I’ll take any excuse to eat: Chinese New Year, Diwali, Thanksgiving, Eid…I promise to make sure everyone is well fed no matter your race or religion.
  • I work hard at what I love: And what I love is working with all students at the RVC, international or domestic. Moving to university abroad was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in my life, and I promise you that I will put in the effort to make everyone feel like RVC is your home away from home.
