NICHOLAS ABBOTT

Hi everyone, my name is Nick and I’m currently in my third year at the RVC and I’m in BVetMed2. Some of you might recognise me as the kid who limps around the pitch attempting to play rugby as part of the Mens’ Rugby Team.

I’ve managed to go to the past two AVS sports weekends and absolutely loved the atmosphere and how all the vet schools are brought together, sadly I have been unable to attend congress yet but can’t wait to go.

I have spoken with our current AVS reps and so I have an understanding of the role of the AVS. I’m excited by the opportunity to be an RVC AVS representative elected.

As your AVS rep I would act as a link between the RVC and the other UK based vet schools; bringing your views and thoughts to the main committee and in return would be looking for your opinion on matters that they present to me.

I have not had a major role at the RVC before and so I believe I would make a good fresh face, bringing new ideas with me, to represent our students at committee meetings.
