Although testing of cosmetic products on animals is banned in the UK, cruelty towards animals is not restricted by national borders. Animal-tested products can be easily sold in the UK market. How can we make informed decisions?

We are delighted to welcome Samantha Saunders to speak to us about animal testing in the cosmetics industry in the UK and worldwide, and advice on how to know the products you are buying are cruelty free. This event will begin with a 20 minute presentation, followed by a structured discussion/Q&A.

Samantha Saunders is a research associate with PETA, where she works with regulators to replace chemical tests on animals with superior and humane non-animal methods. She graduated from the RVC in 2013 with BSc (Hons) Veterinary Pathology and BVetMed degrees and has a doctorate in coronavirology from the University of Bristol.
