FYR presents: Graduation Ball 2022

Welcome to the RVC Class of 2022 Graduation Ball!

We are proud to finally bring you the Graduation Ball for RVC class of 2022. The FYR committee, made up of students in BVetMed5, have worked tirelessly to bring you a regal summer event to celebrate the magnitude of our success in making it through the veterinary course and all of our achievements along the way. We're so excited to drink, eat and dance the night away with all of you before we take that giant leap into the wide world of veterinary work after graduation. Our venue this year is the stunning Hatfield House, right here in Hertfordshire, where we'll be taking over their gorgeous Old Palace and Riding School venues for a glamorous, black-tie celebration.

The event will commence at 5.30pm with a drinks reception in the beautiful Knot Garden of Hatfield House. This will be followed by an award winning 3 course meal and drinks in the stunning Grade 1 Listed Hatfield Old Palace banqueting hall; built in 1485 and once owned by Henry VIII. Following dinner, the newly renovated Riding School venue will open up as an after-party venue, with a bar, music and dance floor until 1.30am.

More details and further surprises will be released closer to the event. Meal choice, dietary requirements/allergens and seating plan choices will be confirmed upon payment of the full ticket amount.

Tickets are limited and we encourage you all to attend, as it would be lovely to see all of our year group at its finest.

Deposit/Ticket Information - PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

The £50 deposit will reserve your space at the FYR Class of 2022 Graduation Ball, but it is NOT the full ticket price and the deposit alone will NOT grant you admittance to the event. The final ticket cost will be confirmed in the week commencing 23rd May and will be an additional £35-50 for a total ticket price of £85-100. The remaining balance will be due by 5th June.  It is on payment of the remaining amount that we will collect information for food choices and seating arrangement. The £50 deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE unless in exceptional circumstances, and any decision regarding refunds will be made at the discretion of the FYR Committee.

Whilst we appreciate that not knowing the final ticket price may be off-putting for some, we cannot confirm the amount until we’ve finalised our fundraising for the year to know how much we can subsidise the tickets. For clarity, the actual cost of the event per person is about £140, and through the incredible fundraising efforts of the FYR Committee we’re on track to cover about one third of this cost through fundraising, hence the estimated ticket price of £85-100.

Ticket sales are currently open to BVetMed5 cohort, and you are able to purchase one ticket for yourself and one ticket for a +1. Please note that +1 tickets will not be valid unless the purchaser also holds a student ticket for themself. Students purchasing a +1 ticket will also be solely responsible for the actions of the guest for whom they have purchased a ticket if the guest is not an RVC student. If there are tickets remaining in the coming weeks we may open sales to other RVC cohorts.
