Term 2 was particularly busy for Helaina, who provided support for events including Ramadan, the South Asian Holi Festival, and an LGBT History Month film night.
She has been reviewing feedback from final-year students regarding special examination arrangements, as some have expressed concerns about a lack of clear communication from the University. Helaina will be discussing these matters further with Thalia and the Course Representatives.
In addition, she is working towards establishing a Disability Society prior to her graduation. Disabled Student Panels are now up and running, and she will be collaborating with the EDI Unit to review and strengthen the University’s policy on assistance dogs.
