EMS Refresh

SSAVS is hosting a practical event in which a resident from ECC will be doing a presentation and students will practice their clinical skills. In this practical we will have a presentation going over how to perform a physical exam on a dog, how to properly use a stethoscope for auscultation, and how to triage a dog. We will also have stations in which students can practice drug calculations and another station with suture material in which students can read a clinical scenario and decide which suture material is most appropriate to be used. Suturing itself will not be performed. Volunteer dogs will be used and are fully vaccinated and vetted. The room clean-up will take place by me and nothing will be left behind.
