RVC Zoological Society invites you to the Southern Veterinary Students Zoological Symposium 2023. Join RVC ZooSoc for a weekend of interesting talks and practicals and learn more about exotic animals, conservation and exotic veterinary medicine.

Saturday Practical Tickets DO NOT include food

When: Saturday the 3rd of June and Sunday the 4th of June, registration opens at 8.30am

Where: Hawkshead campus RVC

Who: Everyone is welcome, both members and non-members of ZooSoc!

What’s included in the ticket:

• talks from external speakers.

• Guests can choose preferences on talks. Talks are all about exotic and wild animals and focus on conservation and exotic veterinary medicine. These include talks from a wildlife vet, and a Q&A with a range of speakers. The topics vary from welfare in zoological consultations and wildlife veterinary medicine to fish medicine and insect consultation.

• Exotic animal related practicals in the afternoon of each day.

• Have the opportunity to learn new skills and get involved whilst learning about practical aspects of working with exotic animals.

• Meals- Lunch and dinner on the Saturday included. PLEASE STATE WHETHER YOU HAVE ANY REQUIREMENTS.
• Evening in the Buttery on the evening of Saturday the 3rd of June with games and prizes to be won, including a pub quiz!
• Lots of exciting goodies and food!!

Once you have purchased your ticket, RVC ZooSoc will be in contact via email, so you can pick your preference on which talks and practicals you would like to attend.
