Hi, my name is Tegan and I am currently in my second year at the RVC on the BVetMed course, having come from gateway last year. The RVC has a very diverse student body that I believe needs not only to be equally represented but also celebrated. As we are part of a university with a varied student body, it is important to me that our university and student union provides appropriate consideration and support for specific needs and requirements that our students may have. This is something I would love to be a part of and contribute to. As equality and diversity officer, I would work to provide fair representation for all student groups at the university. I promise to listen to the views and experiences of students from all walks of life and to present then to the Student union to bring about any positive changes needed. I am a driven and motivated individual who has previously been involved with fundraising, volunteering and raising awareness, particularly within the LGBT community. Due to personal experiences and background, I understand the importance of being well represented, and will strive to give a voice to those in different situations to me as well.
